Sandy Zhang specialises in intellectual property, commercial and competition law, start-ups and dispute resolution + litigation. He acts for businesses and individuals who need to commercialise or protect their intellectual property assets, especially when the legal and business matters are complex or extend across borders. He is also an experienced litigator, having both appeared personally and instructed counsel to appear in Australian and international courts over IP, commercial and competition law disputes.
Outside of law, Sandy is a proficient programmer and an avid blockchain / cryptocurrency enthusiast. In February 2021 he founded his own blockchain DeFi / NFT startup, Clam Island. The project later became one of 20 teams accepted into the Summer Cohort of the Tachyon Filecoin Accelerator Program, running from June-September 2021, through which Clam Island secured seed round investment from ConsenSys Mesh and Protocol Labs.
