Mr Pringle commenced as CEO and Principal Registrar on 17 April 2020. Immediately prior to commencing with the Federal Circuit and Family Court, Mr Pringle held the positon of Acting National Operations Registrar and Acting Principal Judicial Registrar of the Federal Court, where he played a leading role in the development of the National Court Framework in the Federal Court.
Mr Pringle has over 20 years’ experience as a high level litigation lawyer and mediator. He has extensive experience in Court-related reform and change management, particularly in policy development and judicial and registrar support.
Since his appointment to the Federal Circuit and Family Court, Mr Pringle has been instrumental in bringing about various reform initiatives, including, most recently, the amalgamation of the Federal Circuit Court and the Family Court of Australia into what is now the largest Court structure in the country.
Mr Pringle is passionate about promoting the safe and effective use of dispute resolution in all areas of law and developing efficient and cost effective case management practices. He continues to be at the forefront of the Courts’ reform agenda through the transformation of the Courts’ policies, practices and processes across all jurisdictions and areas of law, to ensure that access to justice is available to all Australians.
