About Daniel

Daniel is a Principal at McInnes Wilson Lawyers in Insurance Litigation, specialising in defendant personal injury matters, particularly compulsory third party (CTP) and public liability claims. He has practised as a solicitor in civil litigation for 15 years across multiple jurisdictions including Queensland, New South Wales and the United Kingdom.

Daniel recently represented QBE, the defendant CTP insurer, in Walters v Roche & Anor [2020] QSC 319. This was the first test case on the assessment of a claim for damages of a participant in the National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland, and the interpretation of the National Injury Insurance Scheme (Queensland) Act 2016 (Qld) as it applies to the assessment of such claims.
