Venue: Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Pre-dinner drinks will be located in the Plaza Foyer. Dinner will be located in the Plaza Terrace Room.
How do I register for Symposium?
Symposium registration is available on the QLS website.
What is included in my registration fee?
Full registration includes: attendance at all Symposium sessions; and morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both days.
Day 1 or Day 2 only registration includes: attendance at all sessions on day of registration; and morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on day of registration.
Delegates also receive access to all event materials.
How many CPD points can I collect at Symposium?
Both-days | 10 CPD points
Day 1 | 6 CPD points
Day 2 | 5 CPD points
What networking opportunities are available?
Law on the Lawn will be available inside the exhibition providing delegates, presenters and chairs a unique space to mingle, interact and network.
Following Day 1 of Symposium, the Legal Profession Dinner & Awards evening will be held from 6:30pm. The QLS president will address the profession and detail their commitments and aspirations for 2020, and announce the winners of QLS awards.

Can I share my registration with others?
No. Each registration is limited to one delegate only and cannot be shared, i.e. two individuals cannot swap between sessions and/or days.
Can I transfer my registration?
Registration is transferable to a substitute attendee or to the on-demand Symposium recording. All transfer of registration requests must be submitted in writing to email@example.com for approval, prior to 10 March 2020 (registration close date). Can I cancel and refund my registration?
Registration may be cancelled and a refund issued, less a $50 administration fee, up to five business days prior to the registration close date.
Cancellations received within five business days of the commencement of the event but prior to the registration closing date (10 March 2020) will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the registration fee.
Cancellations received after the registration closing date (10 March 2020) will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the registration fee.
Delegates who fail to attend an event without prior notification will forego the entire registration fee. Cancellation and refund requests due to exceptional circumstances such as sudden illness or injury, for example, will be considered. Such requests should be forwarded in writing, as soon as practicable, to email@example.com.
What is the dress code?
We recommend business or smart casual attire. Conference rooms are often cooler than many people find comfortable so we recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket.

Is parking available at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre?
Public car parking is available at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, with 1500 undercover parking spaces available. Parking rates are available at https://www.bcec.com.au/visit/car-parking/. The car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
What transport options are available to and from the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre?
The Cultural Centre Busway is located within 5–10 minutes walking distance. The South Brisbane train station is located adjacent to the Centre, with direct Airtrain service, and connects to the centre via a ramp. Timetables are available via TransLink’s website, translink.com.au. A designated taxi rank is located at the Merivale street main entrance and taxi drop off area at the Grey Street entrance. CityCat ferries run from the Riverside Centre or from St Lucia to the South Bank Parklands with a seven minute walk through the Parklands to the Centre.
Are there other options available if I am unable to attend Symposium?
Yes, selected Symposium sessions will be filmed and made available to purchase as on-demand recordings via the QLS Shop.
Please note, recordings will only be available to view from late April 2020. CPD points obtained from the filmed sessions will only be applicable to the 2020/2021 CPD year.
